Apples and Oranges
I’ll be leaving work early today, going on a trip to KL with my lady and her friend (with significant other in tow). It’s my first time there so I’m pretty excited. And furthermore, NO PARENTS. Sure I sound like a 15 year-old now, but I’ve only had a few chances to say that during my teen years so it carried over into my adulthood, okay?
School started, took the Human & Mass Communications and The Dynamics of Mass Communications modules this semester. The former’s lecturer reminds me of my high school biology teacher, with the way he speaks and his mannerisms. Hope school won’t be too much of a trouble for me, since I haven’t gone back in a long long time, almost 7 years.

Watched some Sarah Palin interview videos last night while I was packing. I think another reason why hillbillies would rather support her and McCain (other than Barack being related to terrrrrrist!) is cause Palin doesn’t use big words. Much.
After watching older episodes of The Soup, only then I’m exposed to a vast collection of trashy reality shows in America. I just wonder when Singapore will follow suit. Tila Tequila making a twist of a dating show by having both genders compete for her affection? Please. And they have a habit of taking people from different reality shows to make one whole new reality show, giving them another undeserving 15 minutes of fame. I guess I can tolerate reality shows with some kind of challenge to it (The Real World, people living under one roof trying to get along), and I draw the line when they stick cameras on people who are just doing everyday things (as a celebrity, of course). Brooke Knows Best? Doesn’t Kim Kardashian have her own show too? As much as I’d hate to say it, but I have to give Paris Hilton some credit for making a show about getting a new BFF (*note: does NOT mean Bangladeshi Father Figure), at least she’s trying. These younger people are just trying to ride off the coattails of The Osbournes, and it shows. I mean, almost everything that family have done were pretty interesting (more specifically, Kelly going to Japan and learning the culture, and Sharon, well, just being adorable). I believe that the producers of these bomb shows will do anything for anybody who’s willing to show enough T&A, and Mtv’s lapping it up.
Or maybe I’m just getting older.
